Returning field ids instead of field names when getting a single record using the REST API

When getting multiple records with the API, it is possible to send a query parameter of ids=1 to return the field id instead of the field name. Does this funcationality exist for the get a single record API and if not, is this something that could be added?

Is it also possible to pass an array of ids to get multiple records by id simultaneously?

    Hi, I'd like to know the answers to these questions. Have they been answered somewhere? Seems that these features are still not supported. Maybe there's a workaround?
